Admission for International Students

Admission procedure to enter WAKHOK University for International Students has been made as flexible as possible, however, International students desiring to enter this University have to plan ahead with sufficient time and adhere to the Japanese rules and procedures applicable to the International students. WAKHOK University invites all prospective students aspiring to gain education in the field of contemporary IT and Media Art. Besides the most competitive IT education package, our International students have an opportunity to sharpen their Japanese language skills and familiarize themselves with the Japanese culture while they are in the University. We offer the following Programs:

We offer a 4-year undergraduate program. Admission for the Undergraduate program is available either from 1st year or from 3rd year. Admission from the 3rd year is based on our Transfer Program whereby the students who have already completed 2 yrs of Bachelor's Course acquiring ateast 62 credits can apply.

Our prospective international students seeking admission in the 4 Years Bachelor's Program or Transfer Program are required to attain a minimum of second level(Nikyu) in Japanese Language Proficiency Test or 600 hrs of Japanese Language study.

To gain admission in our Research Program the students must have acquired Bachelor's Degree. However, there is no compulsion on Japanese Language Proficiency for the students seeking admission in this Program.

The medium of lectures in the classroom is Japanese, therefore international students are expected to understand the lectures, read and write in Japanese. To assist the new students to adapt and familiarize to our program, a bridge course is provided at our Tokyo Satellite Campus.

The students may complete their 2nd level of Japanese Language studies in the Satellite Campus itself.
